October 2013

October was a busy month for us so lots of picture and videos on this post! Mariela and I spent a busy week in NY/NJ visiting family. When we got back the weather was beautiful, mild temperatures and clear skies for almost the entire month. As a result we enjoyed celebrating fall by attending a couple Autumn festivals and exploring a pumpkin patch!

Oct 9 - Destroying, oh I mean exploring, Great Aunt Anne's kitchen. Thank you for all the hospitality Aunt Anne. Mariela sure did enjoy opening all of your drawers and cabinets ;)

Taking a tour of Uncle Breck's and Aunt Jenn's beautiful farm house with Great Aunt Anne. Thank you so much Breck and Jenn for taking us to see your farms house. It is an amazing place!

Oct 15 - Pretending she's a zebra looking for food in the cute outfit Doug and Janet Y. gave her for her birthday. Thank you Janet and Doug! It fit her perfectly just in time for Halloween :) 

Oct 17 - Mariela showing off the adorable fleece jacket Anne and Maia gave her. Thank you so much for the cute jacket and stuffed horse you gave Mariela! It was really thoughtful of you :)  Mariela wears the jacket all of the time and has enjoyed pushing the horse around her baby doll stroller since we've been home.

Oct 19 - Checking out a pumpkin for the first time

No doubt, she was a goofy child after coming home from the Autumn festival at her daycare!

The cow ride looked a lot cuter than it actually was. Surprisingly they didn't have very good struts and we ended up getting a bit shook up.

Oct 27 - rooting on the Cards in her new shirt from G.G. and Grandpa Jim. Thanks for the cute shirt guys. Too bad all of Mariela's cheers didn't help them win :(
